The Ucciani Bridge course
This section is the furthest one from Ajaccio.. It needs about 25 minuts to acceed. After the spots of “Carbuccia” and ‘Vero” you go on to the bridge over the Gravona at Ucciani. Leave your car and go down to the river next to the bridge
Here, the average size of the fish is the same as at Vero (from22 to 28 cms) with some exceptions.. It’s a streamy section, so you should use high floating flies. Tricoloured palmers, “champion du monde”, A4 or hairy spiders.

| From nearer, here is an interseting spot for fly fishing: the river is 1m-1.50 deep, with a whirpool next to the bank and a stream stroking. the boulders under the old road. There, no need hesitating; a sinkered nymph will be suitable. If you use a small float, you could see a wandering fish rush on and swallow it! |

A little bit higher, under the old bridge of Ucciani, a pool, full with fish, is waiting for your flies, but, be cautious, trout have the habit of seing anglers of any kind and use to flee away at the first awkwardness in your approach. Use again a small cdc with a 16 or 18 hook
